Chlorophyll may remove harmful toxins and neutralise cancer causing chemicals - particularly from tobacco smoke

The Worlds Science

What is Chlorophyll?

Chlorophyll is a natural fat soluble pigment in plants which gives them their green colour and that they use for photosynthesis.

Chlorophylls are the most abundant pigments in plants. Dark green, leafy vegetables like spinach are rich sources of natural chlorophylls.

What is Chlorophyllin?

Chlorophyllin is a mixture of water soluble sodium copper salts derived from chlorophyll.

Why does it matter to me?

Studies have shown that chlorophyll and chlorophyllin bond with, and change the makeup of, some chemicals known to cause cancer including some of the carcinogenic chemicals found in tobacco smoke1.

Since the 1940’s chlorophyllin has been used in the treatment of slow healing wounds such as ulcers with positive results2.
