The selenium content in Brazil nuts varies greatly between the UK and US data. This may be due to Brazil nuts from Brazil traditionally having much more selenium than Brazil nuts from other parts of Latin America such as Bolivia, which is typically the origin of the nuts in the UK.Also the US data which has a much higher selenium content (7 times the UK data) is for 'dried' brazil nuts which may also explain the discrepancy.
