20g salted butter
1 medium egg
1 thick slice of white farmhouse bread
1) Bring a small pan with enough water to cover the egg, to the boil. 2) Add the egg and cook for between 6 and 8 minutes depending on how you like it cooked. 3) Meanwhile pop the bread in the toaster. 4) Once the toast has popped add lashings of butter. 5) Take the egg out of the water, pop into an egg holder, chop the top off and enjoy.
