Method

Simply follow our simply laid out recipe:

1) Remove the outer layers and the stem from the cabbage, then thinly slice.
2) Mix the cabbage, onions, apples, zest, mixed spice, sugar and seasoning in a large saucepan.
3) Pour over the cider and vinegar.
4) Bring to the boil then simmer with the lid on over low heat for 20 minutes, or until tender.
